An elegant print box set, Celestial Portfolio celebrates Pema Namdol Thaye's finest thanka paintings spanning over twenty five years. Embossed with foil inlay, this hand-crafted silk box contains twenty-one 12" x 15" unbound folios, each with a high quality giclée print that is hand-numbered and signed, with its title burnished with 24 karat gold by the artist.  The dye-based reproductions are virtually indistinguishable from the original thankas, which were painted with natural stone-ground pigments, and semi-precious and precious stones, using custom fine brushes - some with as few as eight hairs - to achieve vivid color and detailing.

Subjects include a broad range of Vajrayana figures inspired by historical saints, enlightened teachers, and celestial deities.  Every print, which can be accessed as an individual piece and framed if desired, is accompanied by a descriptive text from the artist, delicately wrapped in hand-cut Japanese rice paper.
